第2个ACQUITY UPLC 颗粒是 1.8μm 的高强度硅胶颗粒(HSS),共有三种不同的键合相:HSS C18 、HSS C18 SB (Selectivity for Bases)和 T3。HSS C18 是全封端的超高效通用型的C18 柱:为碱性化合物提供良好的峰形;同 ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 柱相比有更强的保留能力;在酸性流动相条件下具有超长的使用寿命。HSS C18 SB(Selectivity for Bases)是未经封端处理的 C18 柱,设计用于低 pH 条件下方法开发,它提供互补的分离选择性,特别针对碱性化合物,具有与现代高覆盖率 C18 柱不同的分离选择性。HSS T3 色谱柱是与 100 %水性流动相兼容的 C18 柱,专门用来保留和分离极性水溶性好的有机小分子,很像 Atlantis T3 HPLC 柱。
